Reportedly, Meta’s chat messaging application, ‘WhatsApp’ is testing a new feature that will allow users to sync messages across various devices. The chat sync feature was first seen in WhatsApp for Android Beta 2.22.15.13.
This feature is likely to extend the functionality of WhatsApp’s multi-device features. Meanwhile, WhatsApp hasn’t provided any details about the general availability of this feature update.
Popular WhatsApp beta tracker, WABetaInfo states the chat messaging app has begun rolling out the beta version 2.22.15.13. The company may bring the dubbed chat sync feature to enable syncing WhatsApp chat among two devices.
The tracker further adds that WhatsApp will bring a similar system message to the one on the WhatsApp web. The users will be notified with a message that WhatsApp is syncing the chat messages.
Additionally, WhatsApp is also working on a feature named companion mode feature that will let users link their WhatsApp account to the secondary phone.
Last but not the least, the companion mode would wipe off all locally stored messages and data.
