The mobile version of one of the popular battle royal game, Apex Legends mobile will soon go offline starting May 1, 2023. Additionally, EA is also suspending the development of Battlefield Mobile.
Earlier today, Apex Legends developer Respawn Entertainment published a blog post and posted a tweet; announcing its plans to shut down the servers of Apex Legends Mobile on May 1, 2023, at 4 PM PDT, for all regions.
Talking about the reason for the shutdown of the title, Respawn Entertainment said that the planned content pipeline failed to meet EA’s expectations thereby resulting in Respawn, and Tencent parting ways.
The blog post further reads, starting February 1, users will not be able to purchase in-game items and currency. The decision affects only the mobile title. No refunds for in-game purchases will be offered.
In yet another shocking news, EA has also announced canceling the development of the highly anticipated First Person Shooter game, Battlefield Mobile.
