WhatsApp’s delete for everyone feature to get an undefined time limit. The users will now have the ability to delete the messages anytime.
Back in 2017, WhatsApp rolled out the ‘delete for everyone’ feature. In its initial days, the time limit was set to seven minutes. However, after a few months, the time limit was increased to over an hour.
Now, WhatsApp is working on increasing the time limit of its delete for everyone feature.
According to the reports of a popular WhatsApp feature tracking website, WABetaInfo, the time limit for the delete for everyone feature will be increased to an undefined period from the actual 4096 seconds or 1 hour 8 minutes 16 seconds time limit.
Additionally, WABetaInfo shared the screenshot of the feature found in WhatsApp for Android beta v2.21.23.1 but as this feature is still in development, no information regarding the release date of this feature was provided by the tracker.
Released in 2017, the delete for everyone feature allows users to delete messages from the personal and group chats in WhatsApp. And, once the user deletes the message, the deleted message gets replaced by this message was deleted notification.
