mimik technology, a hybrid edge cloud company, declared that it has collaborated with IBM to develop AI-enabled cooperative workflow solutions. The workflow solutions are intended to help boost automation and digital transformation all over the manufacturing, retail, IoT, and healthcare.

The company’s hybrid edge cloud platform will transform the cloud applications to a completely distributed architecture from a fixed client-server architecture. This will allow client devices to act as servers.

mimik will expand IBM Edge Application Manager’s management of IoT and edge devices and additionally will offer support for the edge clusters by allowing the implementation of containerized workloads to mobile devices that run the following OS; Android, iOS, Windows, and QNX.

Fay Arjomandi the Founder, President & CEO stated that the company is thrilled to be able to work with IBM and to take maximum benefit of IBM’s expertise in hybrid cloud computing and software delivery solutions such as IBM’s Edge Application Manager.

She further stated that their collaboration will serve their clients across industries to architect transformative solutions that integrate mimik’s edge cloud technology with IBM’s cloud and AI infrastructure to address the industry’s need for digital transformation.

As client applications are getting more complicated and challenging to build or develop, update and maintain, internet bandwidth and computing resources in the centralized data centers are striving to handle the volume of new data coming from connected devices at the edge of the network.

So as to fix and address these complications, mimik will be introducing its hybrid edge cloud platform collectively with IBM’s very own Edge Application Manager that runs on Red Hat OpenShift.

With the mimik’s hybrid edge cloud platform, it will allow devices with computing resources like smartphones, PCs, game consoles, routers, etc to have containerized computing abilities at the edge.

In June, Adobe, IBM, and Red Hat declared a strategic partnership to help in boosting digital transformation and offer real-time data security for enterprises.
