Google has opened a new cloud region in Tel Aviv, Israel.
Earlier this week, Google posted a blog post saying, Google is thrilled to announce the opening of the Google Cloud region in Israel. Google further said its cloud region in Tel Aviv is the newest addition to join its network of cloud regions across the globe offering high-performance, low-latency services to clients of all sizes and industries.
Back in 2021, Google announced its plans to develop a cloud region in Israel, and even a $1.2 billion tender was awarded for it to offer cloud services to the Israeli government.
Google currently has three cloud regions in Petah Tikva, Modi’in, and Bnei Zion while the fourth one in Beit Yehoshua is under plans.
