Datacenter One declares opening of new data center in Germany

Datacenter One declared that the company is launching another data center in western Germany near Dusseldorf. The new data center, DUS1 is the latest addition to the already existing three data centers in Germany. Within 9 months the construction process of the data center was completed. The data center DUS1’s construction began in 2019 and later after a few months it was put into operation by January 2020. Datacenter One’s latest data center is mostly similar to LEV1. The closeness to the LEV1 data center is a necessary advantage as organizations have access to two Datacenter One data centers inside a radius of 20 kilometers. The two spots can be utilized for both existing/active clusters and redundancy theories.

Innovative Construction concept

The company said that they are depending on a modular construction ideology by DUS1, as they previously did with LEV1. DUS1 is an extendable data center with a  complete capacity of across 16 megawatts and 10,000 square meters of data center space. Around 3600 square meters of data center space was utilized in the first construction phase.

Wolfgang Kaufmann, CEO of Datacenter One stated that with DUS1 they give clients the most suitable combination of proximity and distance among two data centers. Particularly their clients take max advantage and obtain the best feasible service and flexibility for their data center necessities. The huge success of LEV1 was the driving force for DUS1 as it sets a prime instance of a regionally adapted data center.

Datacenter One runs various data centers at several locations in Germany. In addition, the organization prepares and develops turnkey data centers inside six to nine months from 500 sqm rental space upwards, too at the preferred spot. The data center in Germany meets all the relevant guidelines.
