1Password now allows storing details of Crypto Wallet

The latest update of 1Password brings a new feature that allows its users to store details of Crypto Wallet within the password manager.

Users can now add wallet address, recovery phrase and other related information to a new item named Crypto.

This password manager already offered a way to store crypto-related information however after the recent update the whole process of storing crypto-related information in 1Password. For further information, you can visit 1Password’s official site.

A new dedicated field to store your private key has been added within the update. Users can easily add input to the designated fields and store the basic information that is required.

Additionally, the password manager, 1Password’s update now brings support for Phantom’s crypto wallet, a friendly Solana wallet built for DeFi & NFTs. Meanwhile, you need to link the Phantom Wallet password, wallet address and secret recovery key to the Password manager.

As per best security practice, it is not advisable to store your master key (seed phrase) on any internet-connected device and also should be stored on a password manager due to potential security threats. We suggest that you store the password securely within a password manager.
