On Tuesday, YouTube faced a minor outage lasting about 20 minutes. During the outage, several people reported not being able to access the platform or experienced sluggish services.
Meanwhile, a popular website downtime tracking service, Downdetector said that it received more than 15K reports of issues with YouTube.
Downdetector collects status reports from various sources and also considers user-submitted errors on its platform to curate its data.
YouTube tweeted that if you had a sluggish experience while using the platform or were unable to access YouTube, the issue has been resolved, it lasted for 20 minutes.
According to popular Web Tool reviewing site ToolTester, in the last year alone, YouTube experienced about 65 outages.
The news of YouTube’s outage comes after a week following Amazon’s AWS outage that affected several major streaming platforms like Netflix, Disney+, Amazon Prime Video, and Roku.
Besides these streaming platforms, trading app Robinhood, TV shows, mobile banking app chime also felt the heat of downtime as per a report by downdetector.com.
