The popular messaging app from Meta is working on yet another feature that will allow users to quickly undo status messages posted on WhatsApp. The feature will let users instantly undo status messages that they likely posted it accidentally.

This feature was spotted on the WhatsApp Beta app for iOS and we aren’t sure when this feature will be available to the non-beta users.

According to the popular WhatsApp feature tracker, WABetaInfo, WhatsApp has rolled out a new feature that allows undoing status post updates on the beta version of the app.

At the moment, the users can delete status updates by clicking on the three-dot menu and tapping the delete option from the list of options that comes after a user clicks the three-dot menu

Though WhatsApp already allows users to delete status after they post it, the undo option will help them save a few seconds to take down the status messages which is enough to prevent someone from taking screenshots of your accidental post update ?.

WhatsApp Status is similar to Instagram Stories where people can post media (image, text, or video) that remain live on the platform for 24 hours. However, in WhatsApp, the max status length is 30 seconds, and only the contact you add can see your status.

Along with the undo status update feature, WhatsApp beta for iOS 2.21.240.17 fixes issues with the new status update. Meanwhile, this feature at present is available only to iOS beta users, and possibly it will be rolled out to other users in the future beta updates, states the report.

A few days back, WhatsApp was working on a feature that will allow users to forward stickers quickly. To easily share the stickers, the forward shortcut button will be placed right next to the sticker which was earlier sent in individual chat or group. Then, the WhatsApp users will just need to click the shortcut button and choose the contact they wish to share the sticker.
