According to reports by WABetaInfo, the popular messaging app ‘WhatsApp has begun the rollout of a new voice waveforms feature to both iOS as well as Android beta users; WhatsApp beta for Android 220.127.116.11 and WhatsApp beta for iOS 18.104.22.168 versions.
In the last few months, WhatsApp has been actively working on new features and released a few of them to make the app more exciting and eventually enhance the user experience.
You might also know WhatsApp released the ability to play/pause voice recordings the previous month.
Now, the new feature of the Meta-owned instant messaging app will allow users to play the existing voice messages in a linear format.
The new voice waveforms in chat bubbles will make the chat more appealing.
The report says that only a few beta testers can see the new voice message waveform while they have the feature enabled for their WhatsApp account. And, also the feature won’t be active if the user receives a voice note from someone who doesn’t have this feature enabled or users who are using an older version of WhatsApp.
Meanwhile, voice waveform isn’t the only new feature of WhatsApp which will be coming in the upcoming update, the popular messaging app is also working on redesigning the chat bubbles completely. It is said that the chat bubbles would be more rounded, larger, and colorful in the future. This feature is currently available for iOS beta users and will take a while before it gets rolled out to everyone.
Lately, WhatsApp was also working on a new status undo feature that will allow users to instantly undo status messages just a few seconds before its finally uploaded online.
With WhatsApp’s plethora of new features, the app is more exciting than before.
