In the last few months, WhatsApp has been working on plenty of new features. And now, according to a new report by WaBetaInfo, WhatsApp may soon release the message reaction feature which is already available in its sister platforms i.e: Messenger and Instagram. The new feature will offer WhatsApp users the ability to react to a particular message in the chat with emojis.

The feature to react to messages is already been introduced to Meta-owned apps except for WhatsApp Messenger. This feature was initially introduced to the Facebook platform where users could react to posts on FB. Gradually, the feature got extended to Facebook’s Messenger and later to its popular media sharing platform ‘Instagram’.

Meanwhile, a new reaction info tab also has been found, which as of now is under development. Once released, the reaction info tab will allow users to view who reacted to their message.

Reports from WaBetaInfo suggests that user can react to the message by sending an emoji from a total of 6 emojis and will be listed in the first tab called all, whereas, in the WhatsApp groups, the reactions will be displayed in a separate tab.

At the same time, the users are allowed to react with emoji to a specific message just once.

The emoji reactions are useful in cases where people just want to express their emotions and don’t have much to say.

The report didn’t provide any information about the release date.

Meanwhile, WhatsApp has begun rolling out a feature for web users that lets its web users instantly create new stickers from an image within the platform.
