Reportedly, the popular multimedia messaging app, WhatsApp is testing a feature that will show the profile pictures of the members in a group chat.

The news came a few days following WhatsApp’s announcement regarding the feature that will allow iOS users to view status updates in the chat list.

According to the popular WhatsApp beta tracker, WaBetaInfo, WhatsApp for iOS will soon receive a feature that lets users see the profile picture beside the message sent in the group. Currently, WhatsApp just shows the name of the person that sent a message within a group chat.

This feature was first spotted on the WhatsApp beta for iOS 22.18.0.72 version. The company also said that there is no way to disable this group feature. Meanwhile, WhatsApp hasn’t offered any information regarding the release of the WhatsApp contact display picture in the group chat feature.

Additionally, WhatsApp is planning to roll out a new undo button that will allow users to recover accidentally deleted messages in a chat. Users will receive a snack bar at the bottom of the screen.
