Maincubes Plans to Build Third Data Center in Frankfurt

Datacenter operator, Maincubes plans to build a third data center in Frankfurt and first in Berlin, Germany.

Back in July 2021, Maincubes announced its plans to build a second data center in Frankfurt. The facility named FRA02 is a 7,000 sq m and 20MW data center scheduled to be accomplished in mid-2023.

Now, the data center operator plans to build two more German facilities one in Frankfurt and another in Berlin.

Maincubes SVP of International Sales Joris te Lintelo on LinkedIn’s post said “EXPANSION Maincubes FRA03!! The construction of our Maincubes FRA02 data center in Frankfurt has only just started and we are ALREADY announcing FRA03!!

In another LinkedIn post, he further said that “Maincubes BER01 is coming!!”

Though no official announcement regarding the facility released yet, the company updated its site to list both FRA03 and BER01 German facilities.

Meanwhile, the company said its data center FRA03 to be located in the Schwalbach area of Frankfurt and be housing 27,000 sqm or 290,600 sqft long and provide 10,000 sqm or 107,600 sqft of white space over four floors and 16 data halls and 16MW of capacity.

FRA03 having PUE (Power Usage Efficiency) below 1.3 utilize 100 percent of renewable energy with rooftop solar panels and is scheduled to open in the year 2024.

BER01 data center sizing 16,600 sqm will offer 5,100 sqm of white space across three floors 12 data halls and 8.2MW of capacity. This data center will also have rooftop solar panels and is scheduled to open in the year 2024.
