DataBank, a well-known colocation, and managed service provider announced that it has begun constructing an SLC6 data center in Salt Lake City.
DataBank is adding SLC6, the sixth data center in the city to meet the growing IT needs of the organizations and businesses in Utah and Salt Lake City.
The campus situated in Bluffdale, UT, between Salt Lake City and Utah’s Silicon Slopes, SLC6 will be positioned on DataBank’s 23 acre Granite Point Campus. The campus houses the company’s own private 66MW N+1 power substation, which assures to cut off the cost and additional offer scalability for enterprises and hyper-scale cloud projects.
DataBank’s Granite Point Campus connects several cloud providers and carriers via their blistering fast infrastructure.
The newest data center SLC6 is designed in such a way that it houses a wide range of customer facilities along with security features in accordance with HIPAA, PCI-DSS, SSAE-18 SOC1, and SOC2, GDPR, and FISMA compliant.
Databank’s CEO Raul Martynek stated that SLC6 data centers will be offering a full array of cloud, colocation, connectivity, and managed services for the growth of the enterprises in the region. Moreover, the SLC6 data center contributes to Utah’s status as a key center for enterprise-class data centers.
