Wisconsin’s data center operator, Data Holdings, announced the acquisition of DCaaS provider Stack41 in an undisclosed deal.

The acquisition comes as a part of Data Holdings’ vision to expand team size and global reach and enhance skills. All these will be vital for the company’s future development as a strategic partner.

Minneapolis-based Stack41 was established in 2014, and since its early days, it has served numerous data center colocation clients of Data Holdings’ Milwaukee facility. The company also offers hosting and data backup services through its data center in Minneapolis.

Regarding the acquisition, Data Holdings president Kip Ritchie said, “As a long-time partner of Data Holdings, we couldn’t be more pleased about the acquisition of Stack41 as their expertise, knowledge, and exceptional customer service will further enhance our operations in Milwaukee.”

“By partnering with Stack41, we now offer a suite of fully outsourced data center services, in addition to our premier colocation. Customers can also choose a hybrid mix of services to fit their needs at our facility, at their home location, or both.”

The merger will allow Data Holdings to offer a new and extensive portfolio of services, including on-site data center management, cloud solutions, security, container hosting, data storage, and business continuity services.

Furthermore, the duo will leverage Stack41’s expertise in IoT sensor, network, and software capabilities in projects that will be helpful in several industries such as water treatment, manufacturing, and real estate development.

Mr. Ritchie further said their goal was to develop a complete product that offers an exceptional, resilient brick-and-mortar data center, allied with the most capable hardware-neutral business IT applications team. And, Stack41’s expert team has made that possible.

Ryan Brooks, co-founder of Stack41, and Data Holding’s new General Manager, “The partnership of our two companies deliver exactly what companies want and need – services that are easy to consume, highly scalable and flexible with dynamic tools to order, manage and maintain.”

“As data services and security providers, we look forward to delivering those services to Data Holding’s customers. By joining the Data Holdings team, we will have the facility and bandwidth to deliver some exciting new capabilities, and we look forward to rolling those out in the coming months.”
