Colo Atl finished various upgrades to its interconnection and colocation facility at 55 Marietta in Atlanta. The renovation has been resuming across the past few months. The data center was renovated to enhance performance, security, and overall effectiveness for clients and tenants. Colo Atl is a subsidiary of American tower.

Upgraded Security and Surveillance
The freshly renovated data center room 4 on the 5 the floor is now open. The room is upgraded with security and surveillance system. Cameras are placed on the walls throughout the floors of the 5th to 8th. An advanced control system has been added which enables the door to door authentication and access permission by use throughout the complete facility.
General Manager of Colo Atl, John Ghirardelli stated that with respect to the company’s current dedication to deliver state-of-the-art interconnection services inside the telecom hub of Atlanta, they are continuously researching and investigating on several ways to provide high-quality services to their clients. John assumes that the current, latest upgrades would provide their clients with a safer and reliable platform that will help in connecting their businesses.
As per the announcement, the workspaces carved out in tech rooms on every floor will give dedicated space for clients, visitors, and tenants. Additionally, there are upgraded crash carts and other tools for the utilization of tenants and clients.

- Renovated a data center room located on 5th floor and is now open
- Dedicated Meet-Me-Area built on 5th floor
- New upgraded surveillance system with cameras throughout 5th and 8th floor placed
- New Led lighting all over the facility installed. It will provide higher safety at the cost of lower energy consumption
- Two new 90 inch TVs in conference rooms installed
- New painting, carpet, and Colo Atl signage
