Cloud Expo Asia postponed due to COVID-19 pandemic

The organizer of Cloud Expo Asia, Hong KongCloserStill Media, has rescheduled the event and its sub-events. The event was postponed to guarantee a secure and smooth exhibition experience between the coronavirus (COVID-19)pandemic. Originally the event was scheduled for 20-21 May, Cloud Expo Asia, Hong Kong. However, the company plans to reschedule it to 23-24 September 2020 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Celebrating its 5th anniversary, Cloud Expo Asia, Hong Kong, and its sub-events will be a platform for Asia’s tech community to host business, network and create lively conversations about the latest cutting-edge technologies. The event will consist of some of the topics based on the tech ecosystem such as cloud, cybersecurity, big data & AI, IoT, data center and eCommerce.

Ms. Candice Wong, Event Director at CloserStill Media said: “Attendee’s safety is a top preference for us”. Because of the coronavirus spread across the city and after a long discussion with the tech community. The event is postponed to September to deliver an amazing experience and secure platform for companies to do business.

Closely observing the Coronavirus

In collaboration with the government of Hong Kong, Cloud Expo Asia will closely observe the coronavirus situation. The health authorities and Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre will make sure a high level of hygiene and safety are maintained at the World-class event in September. The team will be contacting sponsors and partners to discuss their involvement at the rescheduled events.

Ms. Candice wong said she is looking for the industry’s understanding and support for this decision. She also would like to take this chance to appreciate all the event sponsors, partners, and speakers for their abundant support and promise to work with the company.

The coronavirus has affected many events. Either the events are canceled or are switch to online.
