WhatsApp is said to be testing the new feature that will allow users to create their own customized stickers. At the moment, the users can’t create stickers on the chat messaging app, WhatsApp. It just allows users to send stickers either through the app or from the third party apps.
The sticker creation feature was first seen in the WhatsApp beta and is likely to be released in the upcoming update. Additionally, WhatsApp is also working on extending the message deletion time limit to over a week.
WhatsApp may soon permit its users to build their own stickers within their platform, according to the report of popular phone review and comparison website ’91Mobiles’. As we mentioned above, the ability to create stickers was first seen on WhatsApp Beta and the report states the possibility of stable release in the upcoming weeks.
Additionally, the report also says that sticker creation feature will let users to upload pictures and convert them into a sticker. The report also hints that WhatsApp may bring the tools to customize the sticker.
As of know Meta hasn’t offered any details on when this feature will be released. However, one of thing is for sure that the feature update will come on Android before iOS.
Meanwhile, WABetaInfo reported that WhatsApp is also working on a feature to increase the time limit for deleting messages for everyone within the chat.
Currently, WhatsApp allows to delete messages for everyone till 1 hour, 8 minutes and 16 seconds. Once the time limit expires, the user can’t delete the message. Now, the time limit will gradually be increased to 7 days and 8 minutes in the future update.
