WhatsApp Business is said to be testing an update that allows users to filter their searches and easily look for contacts and non-contacts from the search screen.
The new advanced search filters will also allow businesses to search for any unread message from the search screen.
WhatsApp is currently testing the three search filters; Contacts, Non-contacts, and unread. And, this feature will be rolled out to both Android and iOS users, reports popular WhatsApp updates tracker, WABetaInfo.
The tracker further notes that the advanced search filters will only be available to WhatsApp business users. As the search filters are more useful to WhatsApp business, WhatsApp does not have any plans to roll this feature to WhatsApp messenger.
These three filters will help users to quickly filter the messages based on the messages coming from either contacts or unknown numbers and also the unread messages.
Additionally, businesses can merge various use cases that include searching the chats where contacts have either sent photos or videos.
Besides these advanced search filters for the WhatsApp Business app, the company has been spotted working on the ability to link existing groups or add new groups to the communities.
