Prime Data Centers to Develop a new 9MW Data Center in Santa Clara

Prime Data Centers is planning to develop a new 9MW data center facility in Santa Clara, California as part of expanding its presence in Silicon Valley.

The data center operator announced the development of a new four-story, 119,000 square foot data center.

Construction of the data center located at 1231 Comstock Street will start from the second half of 2023, says Prime.

Prime Data Centers’ CEO, Nicholas Laag said that the company is thrilled to extend its presence in Silicon Valley and the greater San Francisco Bay Area.

He further said that the region is systemically important as it is observing strong demand from the world’s most influential companies.

For those who don’t know, Prime already has numerous data centers in the area and operates a data center facility at 1111 Comstock Street and also nearby at 2175 Martin Avenue. Popular tech giants such as Digital Realty, Intel, Huawei, Coresite, Vantage, Nvidia operate the buildings on or just off Comstock.
