We have got some exciting news for Linux Lite fans as the Linux Lite 5.8 final version is now available to download and ready to be installed on your systems.
The latest version of the lightweight Linux distro incorporates a plethora of changes with the likes of a new User Interface, performance tweaks as well as bug fixes.

Revamped Look
Linux Lite distro based on the XFCE desktop environment gets a new revamped look with the combination of Papirus icon theme and Roboto Regular font.
The release additionally comprises an updated Papirus icon theme that now supports newer apps and brings changes within the icons of existing apps.
Besides the icon improvements, the latest release also includes nine new visually appealing wallpapers.
Added Neofetch and Updated Some Software Packages
The Linux Lite 5.8 release includes Neofetch which allows obtaining system overview from the terminal. Besides the inclusion of Neofetch, you will also find updates for a few of the applications and packages in the newest release.

Meanwhile, users running older versions of Linux Lite can update the OS version by entering the following command on the Terminal.
sudo apt-get install --reinstall lite-upgrade-series5
Additionally, you can also fresh install Linux Lite 5.8 on your system by downloading the ISO from the official site.
