Popular productivity office suite LibreOffice has rolled out the second maintenance release of LibreOffice 7.4. The newest version can now be downloaded for Windows, macOS, and Linux.
The update comes a month after LibreOffice 7.4.1 release and comprises about 80 bug fixes.
The latest release majorly focuses on compatibility issues in document formats of other office suites. It also brings support for native document format.
Meanwhile, LibreOffice 7.4 will reach the end of life by June 12, 2023. Till then, it will get four more maintenance updates.
The Document Foundation said LibreOffice offers the highest level of compatibility in the office suite market segment, with native support for the OpenDocument Format (ODF), beating proprietary formats for security and robustness, to superior support for MS Office files, to filters for large number of legacy document formats, to return ownership and control to users.
