Lately, cybersecurity firm Mandiant announced that it would be acquired by Google in an all-cash deal valuing about $5.4 billion inclusive of Mandiant’s net cash. Once the deal is closed, Mandiant will join Google Cloud.

The agreement states that Google will be acquiring Mandiant for $23.00 per share.

For the last two decades, Mandiant has been offering frontline expertise and threat intelligence to its clients. Following the acquisition, Mandiant will be leveraging Google Cloud’s expertise in security.

Additionally, the duo will offer advisory services and security solutions to help their clients stay secure and address critical security challenges.

The acquisition process in accordance with the customary closing conditions and including the approval of regulatory and Mandiant stockholder’s receipt is anticipated to close later this year.

Mandiant’s CEO, Kevin Mandia, said cyber security is highly important in the present digital generation. Both Google and Mandiant share the same mission, i.e., to bring security to each and every organization.

He further said through the Mandiant Advantage SasS platform; the duo will be offering their expertise and intelligence at scale. Their collective efforts will further help organizations efficiently and continuously manage and configure their complex mix of security products.
