Facebook, through its cloud gaming service, is focusing on the ability to play games in an ad.
On Monday, Facebook declared that with a free-to-play service, it will enter the fast-growing cloud gaming market service. The latest cloud gaming service will enable users to play games on the social network. The strategy is pretty much alike to services offered by Google and Microsoft. However, the social media giant ain’t concentrating on the exclusive games and AAA titles at the moment.
Facebook’s cloud gaming service will be made accessible to its users via Facebook’s desktop site and Android app, but not on iOS. iOS App Store guidelines hinder cloud gaming services such as Google Stadia and Microsoft xCloud from operating on iPhones and iPads. Apple lately did make modifications in those rules, stating that the cloud gaming apps could offer subscriptions to various games, however, each game has to be approved by Apple.
Facebook plans to bring its cloud gaming service for iOS users, but for now, the iOS users are left in disappointment.
Jason Rubin, Vice-President of Play at Facebook stated,
Even with Apple’s latest cloud games policy, we don’t acknowledge if launching on the App Store is a viable patch.

Through its cloud gaming service, Facebook is not directly into the competition with other cloud gaming platforms like xCloud, Stadia, and Luna.
Dissimilar to Microsoft xCloud or Google Stadia, Facebook isn’t promising 4k resolution gaming not it is asking users to buy the controllers. Instead, it is concentrating on famous mobile games. Initially, Facebook is concentrating on six games including Asphalt 9: Legends, Mobile Legends: Adventure, and 2K’s WWE SuperCard.
Facebook stated that the developers will be capable to utilize cloud playable ads on the news feed to promote their games.
