This week, Microsoft silently finalized Windows 11 22H2 build 22621 as RTM; so this implies that the next feature update of Windows 11 is ready for release.
Microsoft confirmed the build release via the tech community post. It includes some new policies and development kits for hardware developers creating drivers for Windows 11 22H2.
Additionally, Microsoft’s blog post mentions the requirements and the driver submission timeline for Windows 11 22H2.
Furthermore, Microsoft cites that the minimum acceptable build for Windows 11 22H2 is the RTM build, 22621.
“Windows 11, version 22H2 certification build
Minimum acceptable build for Windows 11, version 22H2 certification is RTM build(i.e. 22621).”
On May 11, Microsoft released Windows 11 build 2261 to the Windows Insiders in the Beta changed and also bundled new ISO builds for the users to do a clean installation of the OS.
Now, with the Windows 11 build 22621 release, the Operating System company has eliminated the development watermark; usually done for the RTM (Released to Manufacturing) build.
