Recently WordPress announced WordPress 5.4 Beta 2 Version. Now it’s ready for testing. The official release date of WordPress 5.4 is March 31, 2020.
WordPress 5.4 Beta version is now available for testing after the beta 1 phase ended. Here two options available for contributors. Contributors can download the beta 2 and they can install the WordPress Beta Tester plugin.
What changes in WordPress 5.4 Beta 2 Version?
In the Beta 1 version, in total 27 bugs were found, have been fixed. Also, there are some security fixes. The new beta 2 version comes with some major changes. Here are some important highlights.
- Changes in Block Editor: Unassigned width of columns in the block library will now grow equally.
- Changes in Block Editor: Gradient picker also available in different languages other than English.
- Changes in Block Editor: If Choosing a color option is not possible, then the color formate option is no longer exists.
- Changes in privacy: Privacy request in now more consistent on mobile.
- Changes in privacy: At the time of editing the privacy policy page, the notice offering help will not be shown on the top of the Pages in the admin section of WordPress.
- Site Health: REST API error codes now display correctly.
If any contributor will find a bug in WordPress 5.4 Beta version can post it to the Alpha/Beta area of the support forums. After the successful test of Beta 2 Phase, WordPress 5.4 version will be released on March 31, 2020.
