On Wednesday VMware declared its intentions to obtain Octarine, a three-year-old organization that gives a security stage for Kubernetes applications. VMware intends to combine Octarine’s innovation in the Carbon Black Cloud once the deal concludes.

Patrick Morley, GM, and SVP of VMware’s Security Business Unit stated in a record that Combining Octarine abilities into the Carbon Black Cloud will let them to additionally extend VMware’s central security approach to containers and Kubernetes ecosystems. This combination with indigenous alliances with Tanzu, vSphere, NSX, and VMware Cloud Foundation, will shape what they think is a different and compelling solution for intrinsically guarding workloads.
