Veeam Software, a backup solution declared that the company has extended the public cloud support by introducing a new offering ‘Veeam Backup for Google Cloud Platform‘. Veeam’s new offering delivers a single and exclusive platform to safeguard, secure, and manage all the applications and data to allow organizations to boost hybrid cloud adoption.

Veeam’s chief technology officer Danny Allan talking about Veeam’s new offering stated that the Veeam Backup for Google Cloud Platform is the company’s third purpose-built offering for public clouds. The latest offering follows earlier versions of cloud backup solutions designed to secure the data on Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure clouds.

Veeam Backup For Google Cloud Platform Incorporates:

  • Google Cloud-Native: Simple yet powerful web UI, deployable from the Google Cloud Marketplace begins protecting data within minutes; Policy-Based Automation of Google Cloud-native snapshots for quick and frequent recovery points, and rapid full- and file-level recovery options to overcome any cloud data loss.
  • Cost Optimization: Industry-first cost calculation to adjust service-level objectives with budgets that avoid spending excessively on the cloud; back up to Google Cloud object storage for cost-effective long-term maintenance and compliance.
  • Security: Secures the data against threats like ransomware and insider threats by isolating the backup data from production; layered security to safeguard against brute force attacks by setting up multi-factor authentication.
  • Hybrid-Ready: Easily recover the data outside Google Cloud environment with the portable data format and integration with Veeam Backup & Replication external repositories; uses the flexible Veeam Universal Licensing (VUL) to ease the process of license management and enable Cloud Mobility.
