Oracle Cloud adds national security regions for the Intelligence Community and DOD

Oracle Government Cloud declared the extension of national security regions for the US Intelligence Community and Department of Defense clients.

Oracle Government Cloud added national security regions that satisfy the Secret and Top Secret security levels, DISA Impact Level 6, ICD 705, and ICD 503 requirements for the US Intelligence Community and Department of Defense clients.

The regions join 20 standard cloud regions and five unclassified FedRAMP High and DoD Impact Level 5 Government cloud regions. Oracle Cloud Infrastructure-Government Cloud has obtained numerous certifications and attestations for key security standards throughout the world, which also includes ISO, PCI, SOC, and HIPAA.

Glen Dodson, SVP of Oracle’s National Security Group, stated,

Oracle is gratified to give National Security Regions to the DoD and IC to help securely operate their most-demanding, mission-crucial classified workloads. These cloud regions do give the industry’s quickly-growing set of PaaS, IaaS, and SaaS in an extremely-secured distributed cloud ecosystem.

The company, Oracle has always been a strategic technology partner of the U.S Government. In fact, the name was derived from a 1977 CIA project, and the agency was the organization’s first client. Currently, Oracle Government Cloud Services are utilized by eight of the top 10 federal agencies by budget, all four branches of the US military, and 36 states.

Additionally, the company is on the verge of becoming TikTok’s primary cloud provider, probably taking a stake in the business which is foreseen to spun out of Chinese parent company ByteDance. The president of the US, Donald Trump is forcing sales because of national security risks.
