On Wednesday, South Korean telco KT announced its plans to launch an enterprise cloud service in Vietnam.
For rolling out the enterprise cloud service in Vietnam, the South Korean telco will be collaborating with the regional company FPT Smart Cloud, a subsidiary of Vietnam’s most comprehensive IT service provider FPT Group.
The duo will be offering cloud services to Vietnamese as well as the South Korean companies that have its operations in Vietnam country.
Presently, KT offers its cloud services to nearly 7000 companies and public institutes in South Korea.
The telco stated that it will be providing a hybrid cloud service in Vietnam country that utilizes its proficiency in offering cloud services in the public and finance sectors.
KT and FPT Smart Cloud will collectively form a joint working group concentrating on the extension and spreading of the cloud service to other ASEAN countries. Particularly, the duo will be aiming at building a data center in yet another ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) country.
Additionally, the South Korean telco said that in the future it will be expanding its cloud services and will be focusing on digital transformation like big data and cloud for growth in 2021.
