Mozilla last week released Firefox 76 for Windows, Mac, and Linux. Firefox 76 introduces Zoom direct call feature and new Firefox Lockwise password functionality, and a few of developer features. Firefox 76 for desktop can now be downloaded from Firefox.com, the upgrade is now accessible to the current users and they can upgrade it automatically. According to Mozilla, Firefox has about 250 million existing users, giving it a preferred platform for web developers to analyze.
Firefox password manager
Firefox Lockbox is included in new with a new name ‘Firefox Lockwise’ is much smarter than the older version. The Firefox feature helps in generating, managing, and securing the password of the website.
Lockwise in Firefox 76 can presently guard your saved passwords. Meanwhile, you attempt to see or copy a password from your ‘Logins and Passwords page’, you will be notified to enter your device’s account password.
Besides this, an icon indicator has been added which will alert when an identical password has breached or when your login and password are involved in the breach.
Additionally, Lockwise can generate a minimum12 alphanumeric character secure passwords. This means the users will be prompted for password generation when they create a new account or want to change their password.
Rendering and audio improvements
Firefox 76 now supports Audio Worklets. The inclusion of Audio Worklets will let advance complex audio processing like virtual reality (VR) and gaming on the web. Also with the support of Audio Worklets, users can connect Zoom calls without the need for extra downloads. To display a “Join from your browser” Link for all meetings hosted by users on your account, first users must log in to their Zoom Account Settings. And then it is required to operate to the show a join from your browser link selection on the Meeting tab. Eventually, users can verify if the setting is allowed. If not, they should choose Turn On to confirm the change.
